Meet the Team
As CEO/Owner of GKK, I am so proud to see how far we have come in such a short time. The vision for GKK started in 2010, but my passion for entrepreneurship, sustainability, healthy living and great tasting high-quality food has developed over my lifetime. Unlike many of those who may choose to go gluten-free, I was required to completely eliminate it from my diet. Whether it was seeking specialty grocery stores with more gluten-free options, searching through menus for the small or non-existent GF section, or taking bites that were not so yummy, I quickly realized how tough it was to eat gluten-free and vegetarian.
Bringing GKK to you in 2011 is one of the proudest moments of my life. I truly believe that we have developed a taste of our own, and I am excited for you to experience every gluten-free vegetarian bite with us.
Hobbies: Martial Arts, Yoga, Education, Spending time with my family, and receiving massages (not sure if that’s a hobby?)
CHRISTINA, Executive Chef/Owner
I grew up in a family of restaurateurs, chefs and incredible home cooks, so I guess it is safe to say that a passion for food was pretty much inevitable. Growing up, I craved new flavors and was never ashamed to clean my plate. At 18, not only was I grossly overweight but I had also just been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.
Knowing that my symptoms were exacerbated by my weight, I felt the need to understand nutrition from all sides. Arming myself with this knowledge, I began to discover new ways to enjoy the flavors and tastes I craved most. After 7 years of healthy cooking, education and exercise, I was able lose and keep off over 140lbs.
With Megan’s drive and my passion innovation, I am finally able to do what I love most: cook and share amazing, healthy food.
Hobbies: Playing in the kitchen, Reading, Writing, Photography, 19th Century literature, Dance – watching not doing…my talents don’t extend that far.
